I saw a osprey.it looks like a q large raptor with dark rparts; dark eye line; light crown. Male: all-white throat. Female: fine, dark 'necklflight: long wings are held in a shallow M; dark wrist patches; tail is finely banded with black and white. It was sitting in a large tree stub in the middle of a lake. The nest was huge. The young was a chick. They eat fish and insects such as ants and worms. It was about 30 inches long and about 30 pounds.
